Baked Collection

The purpose of the Baked Collection project was to create a platform that makes it easier to raise funds for underprivileged children. The organisation's main focus was to clearly show transparency, making a difference and creating a community who love baked goods.

The purpose of this project was to create a platform that makes it easier to raise funds for underprivileged children. The aim of this foundation/ charity is to use the proceeds gotten from the baked goods to support the children an their families.





User Research: Problems


  • For charities struggling with a lack of investment, the corporate world can be a lifeline.

  • There is no shortage of platforms where you can promote your charity and generate funds.

  • Despite the challenges in fundraising that charities and non-profits may be facing, there are opportunities to come out stronger.

  • Covid-19 has put a gaping hole in the charity sector’s finances and brought financial challenges for many charities that may continue over the long term.

Solutions


Creating a website that is suitable for both desktop and mobile compatibility that will make it easier for users to consume the product, interact with the various activities that the charity is carrying out and more. The use of product/service will eliminate the fundraising challenge and gap cause of by Covid-19 with the aim of increasing employment, ensuring that children go to school with the money raised. Lastly, the money raised can help feed their families, take them to school and provide their families with medicine.


Design Process




Visuals


The visuals and the process flow of the website is aimed at ensuring the user understands how the proceeds are being used. Every sale made a percentage of the sale is directly put towards the live crumb meter that shows how much funds have been raised for these children. The organisation's main focus was to clearly show transparency, making a difference and creating a community who love baked goods.
